The Mental Guide Through Baseball

What started as a freeform journal during an unemployed professional baseball player's journey through COVID grew to a full-fledged project by the end of the year. This unfinished piece followed me through my transition out of the baseball world and into the instructional field until I published the final draft in 2023. It serves as a personal testimony to what can be accomplished through a combination of hard work and mental determination, regardless of the circumstances.

Going from a high-school-cut to getting a paycheck to play the sport I loved, I felt I had a unique story to tell. So I told it. And so was born my love for written expression. I've never been the person to gush about his feelings - never exactly been an open book. But an empty page is the best listener. It doesn't judge. It doesn't interrupt. It simply sits there patiently until you're done.

Then it helps others.

"Headcase" was written to do just that, and it's helped both readers and author overcome the unforgiving battlefield of athletic competition.
